Pupils from primaries across North Lanarkshire entertained a packed audience at Motherwell Concert Hall recently.
A choir from St Mary’s Primary School in Seafar is featured on a new album on the theme of “brilliant inventions”.
Jim Park of North Lanarkshire Council, said: “In the lead up to the concert each school has written and recorded a song that shines a spotlight on a particular brilliant invention that has changed the way we live.
“Once the songs were all written and recorded, and the album booklet illustrations complete, they were brought together to form a compilation album of all eight songs.
“Each school has nominated a charity they wish to contribute to and copies of the compilation album are being sold, with the proceeds from these sales going to each school’s chosen charity.”
Education director Andrew Sutherland presented each school with a framed copy of the album artrwork.
