Who will get vaccine next?

NHS Lanarkshire has provided an update on its priorities for the vaccination programme currently underway at the Muirfield Centre

The health board put a priority on care home residents and staff, the over -80s plus the housebound – but has most recently been in the process of getting jabs out to those those classed as clinically extremely vulnerable and those in their 70s

Stressing that all appointments for this latter group had been sent out, health bosses then identified who would be next.

A spokesperson said: “The next cohort is all those who are 65-year-old and over. Information on these appointments will be issued in the coming days. We understand people want their appointments as soon as possible. We are asking people to be patient. Everyone eligible will get an appointment.”
